I have finished my Associate's and Bachelor's Degrees in Information Technology at ITT Tech and am about to start working on some Cisco certifications. I have not really worked in the IT field, but I hope to find a job soon and begin gaining some experience. I know that I have to start with an entry-level job and am eager to begin a fruitful career. While still in high school, my class (Class of 1997) at Brattleboro Union High School was the first to be required to take and pass Keyboarding in order to graduate. I am now thankful that we were made to do that and I use that skill everyday. Also, I just want to say that I started my Associate's Degree at River Valley Community College but transferred to ITT Tech when I moved to Virginia in 2010. I was a full-time student from 2010 to 2013.

Helicopter Mechanic

HMM-365, MAG-29, 2nd MAW | MCAS New River, NC

I assisted with overall aircraft maintenance with the squadron's Flightline shop. I also worked in Corrosion Control (helping to keep our aircraft clean of rust, mold, and corrosion) and the Tool Room (keeping all of our specialty tools properly stored and secured until their use was required).

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)

We deployed for six months to a base in Al Asad, Iraq for what was known as "OIF 2b". My squadron assisted other units by providing medevac (Medical Evacuation) and resupply flights.

Feb 2003 - May 2003

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)

We deployed to Kuwait in February 2003 to 'gear up' for Operation Iraqi Freedom. we flew from Cherry Point to Kuwait City and were stationed most the deployment at the tent city at Ali Al Salem in Kuwait. We went into Iraq for two weeks to get our time 'in-country' before returning to Kuwait for about a month. We sailed home on the USS Kearsarge.

Sep 2001 - Apr 2002

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan

We deployed (with MEU 26 for Operation Enduring Freedom) shortly after 9/11 to the Mediterranean Sea, but only briefly. We then sailed through the Suez Canal and were stationed of the coast of Pakistan for the duration of the deployment. I never went into Afghanistan with my squadron, but I was kept busy aboard the USS Bataan with other duties.
