Repair Dept Office
Assisted the Repair Dept Officer and a Senior Chief who was his assistant.
I was responsible for all paperwork that came into the office, I believe that we had 15 different shops in our Dept.
I set up their first computer system and programmed it to help with everything that we used to do by hand.
I ran the office when the Lt. and the Senior Chief were out.
In charge of indoctrination of all new personnel to our Dept.
Ran all CASREP messages between our Division Office, our Office, and OPPS.
These contained our ships movement, other ships in our battle group’s movement, their Repair needs, and when those were to be scheduled and carried out. (Thus, the Top Secret Clarence).
