I'm 100% disabled.. I was wounded 3 times and now..... agent orange.. I've had a heart attach, a defibrillator/pacemaker and open heart surgery... for starters. Life has been tough with agent orange.
Military Experiences
Feb 1967 - Mar 1969
Platoon Leader
I made 3 pay grades while in Vietnam and was up for E-6 but, I was wounded before the promotion came down from Head quarters. My first Sargent found me in Ft. Know Ky when he came home and told me I did receive the promotion but, promotions stayed in the division. And because of my wounds, I was sent back to the world. The biggest thrill I had in the NAM was when a medevac land on a trip flare at 1 am to pick the wounded ( 3 of us) lifted off and I knew I had the million dollar wound.. My ear drums burst when the grenade blew..
