Dr. Matthews serves in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) as the Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Community Care. In this role, she provides leadership over the national VA Community Care program - which includes community provider network development and relations, quality and utilization management, care integration, medical claims processing, and revenue collections.
