Raised on Cattle Farm in Northeast Nebr. Graduated University Nebr, Lincoln May 1962. Taught German, English, Speech in Valentine NE for two years before going to OCS Newport RI. Upon commissioning, assigned to USS Jonas Ingram in Mayport, FL. Completed two Med deployments and numerous others to Caribbean for Springboard and in support of NASA launches. Then to DC, becoming an Intelligence Off.

Naval Intelligence Officer
First year spent as IP Watch Officer when Admiral MacDonald was CNO.
Fleeted up to Intelligence Briefer for Admiral Thomas Moorer during my second year. Selected as 1630 Naval Intelligence Specialist in 1968. In 1970 joined CTF 157, spent 4 years in Bremerhaven, GE as Deputy 157.2.2 In 1974, transferred to NOSIC in Suitland as Senior Watch Officer. Then transferred to staff of Comnavintcom as founder of Collection Advisory Center at NOSIC. After 18 months, transferred to Admirals staff as Attache Affairs Officer.
