After my service I just became a mom until about 5 years ago when I started working for the Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. I love being with everyone that has walked in my boots but just wore a different uniform. Our veterans are from WWII to those coming home today. I have a very satisfying job. I'm luck enough to be able to serve those who have served both before me and after me.

Combat Medic
I did my Basic Training at Fort McCullen AL. That in itself was a huge shock for me. Then off to Fort Sam Houston, TX. I got to go straight to permanent party for 8 months as a clerk then back to school. After school I went to the 225th Station Hospital in Bad Kruesnock, Germany. I became an Emergency Room Tech. Germany was the best duty I did while I was in. It was even better than Fort Ord which was only 45 min from my home in San Jose, Ca. And my last duty station. I wish I would have stayed in but due to being young and only being married for a few months to another solider that was getting out I opted to get out after 3 years active duty.
