This is same firing battery I had before, A/1/13th FA 24th ID but the 1st Division came home from Vietnam and we deactivated the 24th ID and became the Big Red One, 1st ID. They only brought colors home from Vietnam and reassigned most in country to other units to finish their tours.

Then 6 months as infantry advisor with RF/PF forces in MAT Team #37 at Song Mao in southern II Corps 60 k’s north of Phan Thiet.
