Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
Arriving shortly after Shock and Awe it was my units responsibility to provide communications throughout Iraq. As a mechanic and wrecker operator it was my duty to go on every convoy as we set up our nodes roughly every 50 miles from Baghdad to Mosul. To my knowledge we are still the most heavily traveled National Guard unit during Iraqi Freedom.
