I was born and raised on a small Iowa far. After high school I attended a Broadcasting school. I then worked in West Yellowstone, MT, Oelwein, IA, and North Platte, NE where I joined the Navy. After Journalism school in Indianapolis I served as a print, radio and television journalist on Grand Turck Island, BWIO. I was transfered to Sigonella, Sicily. From there the Pentagon 4 years radio & TV.

I published a base newspaper once a week, hosted a radio show 4 hours every morning, trained 8 sailors to D.J. in the evenings. Anchored 15 min. television news 5 nights a week, and ran a movie projector 2 or 3 times a week.

I served as a multinational peacekeeping force sailor. My duties included defending a mobile radio/tv station, hosting a radio show every morning for 4 hours, Going out into the field with a television camera to produce a news story for Navy News this week at the Pentagon, taking turns showing television shows in the evening.
