joined army out of high school joined for an extra year to get asa school fort devens mass did not get any of my choices morris intersepter school is were I was put did not like it and quit sent to fort sill oak for artillery school went to germany assigned to 8 inch artillery battery stayed there two years requested service in Vietnam served with 105 battery for 6 months then assigned to co a 2/27 inf as forward observer finished my year got out
