Bio
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, CSM Miller entered the US Army Reserve on May 25, 1979. He was ordered to One Station Unit Training (OSUT-Cannoneer) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Upon return, he joined the 104th Service and Support Battalion where he became a Supply Specialist through On-the-Job Training. He was promoted to Sergeant Major on January 1, 1998 and appointed to the rank of Command Sergeant Major on November 16, 2000.
His duty assignments as a Command Sergeant Major include: 174th Quartermaster Battalion (Petroleum Supply) 2000-2004, 396th Combat Support Hospital 2004-2009, 494th Brigade Support Battalion 2009-2011, 364th Civil Affairs Brigade 2011-2014, 445th Civil Affairs Battalion 2012, 2212th Mobilization Support Battalion 2014-2016, Hood Mobilization Brigade 2014-2015, 1st Battalion 356th Regiment (Logistics Support) 2016-present.
