At 21 years old in 1985 I felt a strong urge to serve in the military . I proudly chose the only one that would do for me and that was the United States Army . My father served in the Army and was in the China Burma India theatre in WW II . My mother was a Wave in the U S Navy in WW II . Told my recruiter I wanted a tough low crawling MOS and he had an opening for a 19 Delta slot and I took it .
