was MM-3, in #1 engine room and group (all spaces) at one time holding a E-5 billett , due to crew shortage, was qualified for all operations in spaces, hardest time was when 2 engine rooms lost the load while at sea, Sept 73 out of Pearl,

Vietnam War
was on USS Midway CVA/CV 41, as a MM-3 (LATER ON) for my first tour to Vietnam april 72 /march 73, Later spent a year in Yokosuka ,Japan, until aug 74
later -was on USS Southerland DD 743, in San Diego, was a west coast tour ,that was great, went from Seattle down to Acapulco running reserves around, but great duty left Navy in Sept 75
