When I was born in 1950, my famliy lived in San Ysidro a "Border Town" between San Diego California and Tijuanain. My father had his last post there as a WW2 U. S. Navy 2nd Class Petty Officer. My parents had moved my older sisters there from Ohio. I grew up in the shadow of Navy and Marine Corps bases. In 1976 I enlisted as a Army PFC. I left HQ Co.18th. Eng. Bde as a Spec. 5, in Germany in 1980.
