John Owen Lally was an infantry platoon sergeant with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. Now a retired government IT executive, he is active in local and national veterans' organizations. In 2012 he was honored as a Distinguished Member of the 506th Airborne Infantry Regiment for his service in Vietnam and his ongoing support for veterans and active duty soldiers
