SOMEWHAT similar to my duties at McChord AFB, in 538 section/tool crib, but in a quonset hut THIS time, we issued (documented, hence, the AF form 538)...tools for aircraft/vehicle mechanics, flight gear, air crew flight suits/jackets, oxygen masks, issued/repaired flying glasses, flight helmets, and MUCH more. MY opinion...the MAJOR difference while at Udorn... I/WE...were NOW...ACTIVELY supporting/involved in the Vietnam War, working directly with air crews flying VERY war-active aircraft...F-4's, C-130's/141's, Air America, Sandies, HH-53 and Pedro (ARRS) helicopters, literally guarding our duty section during night attacks, and SO much more.
