Currently serves as a Patient Representative and Mission Act Champion, Grand Junction Veterans Health Care System, in Grand Junction, Colorado. His previous VHA positions include Transportation Mobility Manager for Grand Junction and for Sheridan VA Health Care System, Sheridan, Wyoming. David Haake has over twenty years of transportation management experience in the Department of Defense, and in the Veterans Health Administration. He served eight years as a Transportation Management Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Transportation Corps and previously as an Infantry Rifleman in the 6th Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, Berlin Brigade of Cold War fame. His forward deployed service includes Macedonia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Albania. He served during the end of the Cold War, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and during the Global War on Terror. His previous government positions include Plans and Operations Officer for the United States Army War College International Fellows Program, Unit Movement Coordinator for the Installation Transportation Office, Fort Carson, Colorado, and Inspector for the Joint Personal Property Office, Military District of Washington, and Fort Belvoir, His U.S. Army Active Duty stations included Berlin, Germany, Fort Hood, Texas, and Heidelberg, Germany. He currently is active in Veteran Service Organizations and Heritage Organizations.
