Chaplain Assistant
LGBT veteran who proudly served during Don't Ask/ Don't Tell regime. I served under some great Chaplains and a few bad, whom held me back. I was not promoted until time limits required it. After 8 years of active and Reserve/ National Guard, I gave up making it past E4. I am not wanting pity, these 8 years helped me gain confidence in myself. I made some great friends. I fully came out to myself, had my first boyfriend (Axel a German national) and I was able to help other LGBT soldiers who were being discharged after being found out, with emotional support through the Chaplains office.
