I am a career military and law enforcement specialist. I served over twenty years service in the Navy as a personnel administrative and security specialist. I also have been an active police officer for over eighteen years. I possess both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education. I am eager to use my experience to educate and/or train professionals in the area of security and law enforcement.

Personnelman

USS Ranger (CV-61), Decommissioned Ships | Great Lakes, IL

I was assigned to the aircraft carrier, USS Ranger CV-61 following Boot Camp. I served as a Personnelman Third Class onboard until my transfer to Personnel Support Detachment, Great Lakes. While onboard I earned two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons. As a Personnelman at Great Lakes, I earned numerous letters of commendation and a Navy Achievement Medal for work with the Campaign Drug Free Program. I also received Auxiliary Security Force Phase I training.

I was deployed as a member of a law enforcement, physical security unit. Once my background in Personnel Administration was discovered, I was reassigned to manage the pay and personnel issues of the over two hundred activated and deployed sailors. In this position, I earned my second Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal.

Provided enlisted personnel with information and counseling related to Navy occupations, opportunities for general education and job training, requirements for promotion, and rights and benefits.
