Served 9/66 - 9/70 in USAF on a German Air Base providing security for special weapons. Served as sworn Police Officer between my Air Force and Army service. Enlisted in the Army Nov 74 and served until retiring in 8/91. Continued to be a full time husband, father and part time college student as I pursued civilian opportunities. Care giver for my spouse since 4/2000. Served as Police Officer in Virginia Beach, VA. from 10/71 until I (re)enlisted in the USA 11/74. Retired from USA 8/91, continued to seek my degree while working as a counselor for a local College. Substitute Teacher, and Owner/Operator of Birdneck Executive Centre until I sold the business to care for my wife. General Manager for Auto Dealership 2002-2005 and again full time Care Giver. Currently mentoring and putting out family "fires".

Senior Career Counselor
Responsible to Group Commander for the retention of 5000 soldiers. Supervised five full time Counselors, twenty unit level part time Reenlistment NCO's and two clerks. Designed and implemented a successful retention program. Worked with Post Education Center to better qualify soldiers for retention giving the Army a better soldier and the soldier more choices at reenlistment. Inspected Battalion and Company reenlistment programs to ensure soldiers were properly counseled and records were properly annotated.

Counseled and processed soldiers for reenlisted. Inspected Battery level commands ensuring soldiers were counseled, identified and given opportunity to improve their chances for reenlistment and promotion. Processed Bar's to Reenlistment when necessary. Ensured BN Commander and all of his Battery Commanders were briefed and updated on DA Regulations as they pertained to the retention program. Provided quarterly training to Battery level Reenlistment NCO's. Filled in for DIVARTY Senior Career Counselor when needed.
