Joined the Corps on the delay program in April 1972 and shipped to MCRD San Diego in June the day after my 18th Birthday. Attended Aviation training at NAS Memphis and OJT at HML-267 at Camp Pendleton. Served as a UH-1E and UH-1N Crew Chief in HML-367, HML-267, and MCAS Cherry Point SAR. Was assigned to the I&I Staff at MARTD El Toro, as the Flight line NCOIC.
