Scared of the full-time commitment, I entered the Army Reserves in 1996 and served as a 63J. It wasn’t long before I realized that an active commitment was exactly what I needed so I requested and was granted a contingent release from the Army Reserves, and joined the ranks of active duty as an Infantryman. In 2005 I attend a medical board and was re-classed into Human Resources.
