Bio
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I love my country. I enjoy my job as a Phila. Firefighter. I am a gold star father having recently lost my son SPC Devin J. Kuhn 2nd Bn. / 75th Ranger Regiment to a weapons training incident. I will forever miss my son but try to temper my grief. It is not easy.
Military Experiences
Sep 1979 - May 1988
ABH2 / Crash Crew
Primarily worked NAS Willow Grove Firehouse during Drill Weekends standing
hardstand watches on the airfield during flight operations and duties assigned in the fire station. Supervised subordinate reservists. During yearly 2 week training period was sent TDY to NAS Bermuda while assigned to that command or NAS Keflavik Iceland while I was assigned to that command. Was promoted to ABH-2.

Aviation Boatswain's Mate (ABH) (Aircraft Handling)
Responsible to safely move A/C from Hanger Bay to the Flight Deck for maintenance and / or Flight Ops and direct subordinates to accomplish the same.
V-3 Division Damage Control Petty Officer: responsible for material condition of V-3 Div. Spaces aboard ship.
During overhaul at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an Airman(E-3) to rehab spaces assigned usually by chipping and sanding and repainting.

Blue shirt/spotting dolly driver on Hanger Bay USS Kitty Hawk CV-63, to move various A/C (F-14, A-6 and A6e, S-3, etc.) as needed for maintenance, etc.
Initiated a "Trusty Shellback" on board USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) 05APR78.
