Born and raised in the Los Angeles, Ca area. Graduated high school 1963, married 1963,enlisted in USN 1963. 2 tours Vietnam (Westpac cruises). Discharged 1969. Joined LA Co. Sheriff Dept 1970 and retired in 1995. 1st wife passed away, cancer victim 1995. Remarried 1997. Relocated to Prescott, Az 1997. Have worked at various "busy work" jobs since relocation, including, but not limited to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. Finally retired retired in 2006. Now enjoying my grandkids and living vicariously thru my grandson, a US Navy AG2, currently assigned to Joint Expeditionary Forces Fort Story, VA., and who is expected to "Troop Up" in April of this year. GO NAVY!

Machinist's Mate (MM)
Spent the bulk of my time assigned to the after engine room of the Porterfield, a Fletcher class 600 lb steam system destroyer. Transferred to the Coontz ( a 1200 lb steam system) as a PO2 for approx 6 months prior to separation in 1967.

2 deployments to the east coast of Vietnam over a 3 year period. Was a segment of various task forces active in the area during the war.
