An Army brat - my photo here is me on the left, on leave b4 going to Nam, my Sergeant Major father, just come home from RVN and my brother on leave from Korea at the time of this photo.

Vietnam War
I served an extended tour in Vietnam - 6 months offered to be cut off my 3 year enlistment for adding 6 months to Vietnam. I ended up only serving 485 days there as a special Xmas 1970 order came down to send a bunch of us home. 1st 7 months with small base in III Corp and lucked out getting transferred to Long Binh- as a REMF, with no apologies!
