Bio

Born in Logansport, Indiana and raised in a idyllic rural setting as a Hoosier. Joined the US Army out of High School in 1976 and was assigned to the 82d Abn Div. Went to college on the GI Bill, applied for and was accepted to the Warrant Officer Flight Program. Served 23 years active duty with the last two years recalled to the 1st Cav Div and taking part in the Surge in Iraq.

2-227th Avn, 1st CAB, 1st Cav Div | Fort Cavazos, TX

BN ASO, guided unit through ARMS Safety Inspection to re-certify for deployment in April of 2009. I would have loved to have re-deployed with the unit and command team to Iraq, but promises made to family required my returning home after exactly two years and one day (as promised). I still thank the Lord and my family for allowing me this opportunity to serve one more time.

Assigned to a flight company as the ASO and senior warrant officer. UH-60L Day/NVG PIC. Deployed with this unit in September of 2006 to Taji, Iraq. Stayed for "The Surge" and enjoyed this assignment greatly.

Was assigned responsibility for all flight operations due to the fact I was medically grounded from flight duties. I was brought back up on flight status approximately two months prior to my DEROS.
