I joined right at 17 and was pushed in the ABE rating. I made ABE1 before converting to MA. I was forced to start all over again. I wasn’t allowed to take the ABEC exam for two years because after being sent TAD to the MA shack, I liked it and decided to stay a second time. They then would not let me come back and they left me there. So I converted to MA and had to wait to take the MAC exam.
