Bio
Married since 1990 with three children (two girls, one boy), my wife is a nurse. We are currently living in Medford, OR since 2006. I am originally from So California and I am glad to be away from. Currently working as Lead CT Tech at a cancer center, where my oldest daughter is now an oncology nurse, which is pretty cool!
Military Experiences
Feb 2002 - Nov 2008
Air Transportation Specialist
The Air National Guard phased out Radiology, and the Reserve was flooded with techs, so I had to cross train to stay in. I chose Air Transportation because the tech school for prior service was only two weeks. It was an OK job, but I missed being in a medical unit.
This is where I retired, started and ended at Travis. It was a pretty damn good run!
Jan 1993 - Mar 1994
Radiologic Technologist
Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), reservist attached to active duty. This was before March AFB closed and became March ARB.
Jan 1992 - Jan 1993
Radiology Technologist
X-ray, mostly CXR for physicals, quite boring. The cool thing about it was one of my former Phase 2 students from Travis was my supervisor!
Deployments
(4 months)Jan 1990 - Apr 1990
RAF Nocton Hall, UK
Deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm. Worked in Radiology x-raying wounded from Iraq. Luckily, there weren't many.
