Bio 

Master Sergeant John E. Allen is the Senior Non Commissioned Officer-In-Charge of Transportation, Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS), Fort Eustis, VA. He directs and plans movement operations for 5,200 passengers and 10,000 short tons of cargo belonging to the Defense CBRNE Response Force (DCRF) for short notice incidents of national significance. Furthermore, he establishes the JTF-CS Joint Movement Center, which tracks forces, equipment and supplies moving within the Joint Operations Area. Sergeant Allen grew up in Millbrook, AL. He entered the Air Force in 1994. His background includes various duties in the Air Transportation career field. While stationed with the 615th Air Mobility Squadron at Travis AFB, CA, Sergeant Allen became one of the first night vision driving instructors, teaching over 300 mobility team members safe aircraft on-and-offloading procedures during blackout operations. Shortly after arriving to the 1st Logistics Readiness Squadron at Langley AFB, VA, Sergeant Allen rewrote the joint inspection procedures and technical specialist criteria, streamlining cargo processing for deployment operations. He also deployed the first ever F-22A Raptor AEF package, moving 2,500 short tons of cargo as well as 225 passengers on 7 aircraft, which was a USAF benchmark. Sergeant Allen has deployed in support of operations Uphold Democracy, Joint Endeavor, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. During his deployment for operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Sergeant Allen was instrumental in providing direct support to the largest inventory of fixed and rotary wing special operations aircraft employed since the Vietnam War, flying over 398 combined United States and coalition combat sorties. While deployed in support of operation Enduring Freedom in 2007, Sergeant Allen led CENTAF's busiest Special Handling Section, processing on average 4,200 pieces of hazardous cargo in a one month period. While deployed in support of operation Enduring Freedom in 2009, he served as the CAOC passenger movement manager, processing booking requirements for 160,000 troops boarding 3,000 missions, supporting 30 theatre aerial ports.
