Sergeant Sean M. Callahan began his career in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Electronics Technician from April 2001- November 2008. After honorably serving in the U.S. Navy, Sgt. Callahan decided to enlist in the U.S. Army as a 91B light wheeled vehicle mechanic and deployed to Afghanistan in November of 2009. After returning from Deployment Sgt. Callahan decided to change his MOS to 46R (Public Affairs Broadcast Specialist) and was then sent to the Defense Information School, or DINFOS to receive his training.
In August of 2012 Sgt Callahan reported to the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, located in Fort Wainwright Alaska as the PAO NCOIC. Sgt Callahan quickly realized that this amazing MOS allowed him to tell the Soldiers story using his creativity and broadcasting training, Sgt. Callahan set out on his journey to capture the unique and ever-changing training environment Alaska has to offer. Sgt. Callahan placed 3rd in the last years Department of the Army Keith L. Ware competition and has since transferred to U.S. Army Alaska, or USARAK to become the Division Broadcast Sergeant.
