In 1967.
Went to Great lakes for 3 months of boot camp, Memphis Tn for aviation mechanic school and Jacksonville Fl NAS Cecil field for completion in training working on the A- 7 A corsair.
Promoted to AMH- 3 and deployed on USS Saratoga CVA- 60 and USS Kennedy CVA- 67. Separated from active duty in 1971. Got married and honorably discharged in 1973.
