Retired trucker, live in FL, like to fish, cook, and be a general pain in the ass. Have travel\ed all over the USA, so now content to just stay at home, much to my wife's, discontent! Have been in FL for almost 41 years, have seen FL change so much, from a rural country state, to a paved over retirement center. May get hot, and humid, but it sure beats shoveling snow!

Started in Jun 1962

I C Electrician

USS Cavalla SS244 | Groton, CT

Took care of comm equip. Stood watch in the control room. Biggest mistake of my life, was getting out of the Navy! But at the time, was married to a Air Force brat, and all I heard was get out. Then she ran off with someone, and by then it was to late to re-up.

Deployments

Cuban Missile crisis.

Spent a thrilling time, up in the North Atlantic, is a WW II submarine, even submerged, it was rocking and rolling. I have to hand it to those who served during the war, spending months in one of these ships. But, wouldn't change it for the world!
