Bio
Commissioned from Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia in February 1967. Inducted into the Infantry Officer Candidate Hall of Fame in 1990. Graduate of numerous military schools over thirty years of service, to include the Field Artillery, Finance and Infantry Officer Advance Courses. A graduate with “honors” from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth and is a graduate of the Army War College at Carlisle Barracks.

Platoon Leader
Many and various staff and command positions with the 3-14th Field Artillery, 366th Finance Section, then Commander 2-133 (M) Infantry – Iowa Army National Guard, IG for Headquarters Iowa National Guard, DSLOG for the 88th USARCOM, and Chief of Staff, 103rd Corps Support Command. Commander, 205th Infantry Brigade (Separate) (Light), Roundout to the 6th Infantry Division (Light) at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, then on active duty as the Chief of Staff, Joint Task Force Timber Wolf, in Guatemala, Central America. My last assignment prior to retirement was on active duty as the Chief Military Liaison Team, Budapest, Hungary.

Chief Military Liaison Team, served on the US Ambassadors staff and tasked to assist with the entry into NATO of the Hungarian Military and to assist with the democratization of these same forces.

Guatemala
Joint Taskforce Timber Wolf, served as Chief of Staff and acting Commander of this Engineer Taskforce. WE built bridges, schools, medical clinics, drilled water wells, and worked on roads. Also conducted MEDRETS and VETRETS.
