Lead DOD planner responsible for the integration of Federal military medical assets into public health and medical plans and response activities across two FEMA Regions (I & V) encompassing 25% of the contiguous United States. Served as the Defense Coordinating Officer’s medical expert for Defense Support of Civil Authority missions. Established and maintained working relationships with Federal, State, local and Tribal partner agencies in Emergency Support Function (ESF) -8 and other ESFs as required. DOD counterpart to the DHHS Regional Emergency Coordinator.
