My memoir come from my diary that I kept at the request of my mother as she wanted to know my daily life in the army . They are made up of 33 small note pads that I carried in a Prince Albert tin in Korea .She sent me a new tin and notepad

Chief Of Fire Battery
THEY WAS NO OFFICER ASSIGN TO THE AMMO SECTION WHEN I ARRIVED . I WAS ASSIGN TO RUN THE SECTION TILL A OFFICER ARRIVED AND Ii WAS TO TRAIN HIM .THE BATTALION MOVE FROM BEAR CAT TO DONG TAM BASIN IN THE MEKONG DELTA. AFTER TRAINING THE NEW OFFICER I BECAMDE THE 1ST SGT IN BRAVO BATTERY 11TH AT FIRE BASE MOORE. THE BATTERY DID NIGHT LIFT OPERATION OUT OF MOORE . FIRE BASE MOORE WAS ON ROUTE 4 IN THE DELTA AND WAS KOWN AS THUNDER ROAD BECAUSE OF THE AMBUSH THAT HAPPEN ON IT. DUE TO MY TIME ON THE JOB . THEY WOULD WAIVER MY TIME AS WHEN I RETIRED
