SSA (Supply Support Activity)
As a split-option soldier, I went to boot camp after my junior year of high school. So during my senior year of high school, I was assigned to a Reserve unit. I got home one Friday afternoon and received a phone call to activate. We were poor, so I didn't have my own car. My mom had to leave work to take me to my unit. She was really upset. "You're going to die in a place I can't find on a map," she wailed. Hahahaha. We spent 3 days in an airport, ready to deploy to Libya. When they called us to formation, we thought, "This is it." Nope. We got sent home.
