Lived on Camp Pendleton from October 1986 to June 1993. Have three kids in the military. Son in the Air Force with three deployments to sandy places... a Son in the Marine Corps who spent his entire career at 8th & I Barracks, and a daughter in the Army. I enlisted but was not able to swear in due to a medical surprise at MEPS. I understand the military, it's the civilian world that I don't get!
