I served on the USS MAUNA KEA & on the USS WRIGHT. I went to Vietnam in Oct of 1966 & was stationed at Chu Lai. I spent one year there. I enlisted for four years but only served three years. I got a Honorable Discharge. I joined the Navy on the 120 day program while in High School. I joined the regular Navy on July 14th, 1965. I got out in June of 1968. I got discharged one year early because of Vietnam.
