Grew up in the little town of Welcome, NC. Graduated from North Davidson High June 1969. went to work for R J Reynolds Tobacco, Company held my job while in Service, Retired after 39 years. Working part time driving coach bus for Holiday Tours I'm married and have Two Children, Girl and Boy ,neither are married so no grand kids I enjoy going to our Military Reunions each Year

M113 APC Gunner
Draft into the Army March 26 1970. Took Basic at Ft. Bragg, NC than A.I.T at Ft. Knox, Ky. Sept. 20 1970 off to Nam.The first 9 months was with the 1/5 Mech. Infantry Div. HHC 1/77 Armor Scout Plt. on The DMZ . Than was sent to the 2/11 ACR F trp. for the last 3 months. Than back to the states and stationed at Ft George G Meade with the 1/6 ACR B trp. Got an early out on Nov.29 1971. Had to go to summer camp 1972 and 1973 at Ft Stewart, GA Got eat up with what they called red bugs , we had another name for them here in North Carolina.
