Aircrew 5, than 6. Observer. The Navy decommissioned the Martin, Marlin Sea Planes . SP5B, last flight at NAS North Island, San Diego Ca. Than do to loss of Helicopters in Viet Nam, I was transferred, to NASS Rheem Field Imperial Beach California. !968 went with the USS Okinawa to retrieve a space capsule, on return I was informed of the birth of my son. Late 1968 went with the USS Hornet to Vietnam, we ere part of task force 71 we earned Armed forces Expeditionary medal,Us Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Service medal three bronze campaign stars. Vietnam Counteroffensive, phase VI from 1968-69. TET 1969-02-23 ton196906=08. On July 16 1969 wqs Honorably Discharged.

Sangley Point Philippines/ Vietnam Cham Ranh Bay, Sea Planes Tenders USS Currituck. We patrolled from Cham Ranh Bay up to the coast of China, mainly looking for weapons run from North Vietnam and China to the Viet Cong, in South Vietnam.
