Born Cherokee NC. Joined the Army 1977, and retired 1997. Hell of a lot of ups downs in 20 years I would not trade. After retirement I worked for Harrah’s Cherokee as a Purchasing Manager (Supply, S-4) and obtained an MBA from Montreat College. Currently serving my 7th term as an elected representative of the Easten Band Cherokee. I owe the US Army for enabling my blessed life.

Meet my wife Phyllis (71L) in 1978 and we married in 1980. When I said “I do” it was the luckiest day of her life. Lol. Good unit and excellent soldiers. Can’t believe it was 40 years ago. Too many memories to write about. Like yesterday, their faces are in my mind.
