Bio

I was born in Chicopee MA. I was in the USAF from Feb of 1976 till Dec 1981. I then joined the USA NG in Jan 1982. My unit was in Grand Forks ND. I separated again in Jan 1986. For the next 10 years I worked as a house painter. Then I completed a PA degree and joined the USPHS. I am currently an 0-4 with almost 24 years total uniformed service. I have three grown kids and two cats.

Military Experiences

Apr 1981 - Dec 1981
Medical NCOIC
I was assigned to the Human Reliability Program and the Personnel Reliability Program in the medical records department. I reviewed and maintained all the records of officers and enlisted assigned to handle nuclear weapons. I reported to the hospital commander, a full colonel, directly. I had to make regular reports to the bass commander, a one star general, as well. Important work but really mundane.
Dec 1978 - Mar 1981
Medical NCOIC
I was NCOIC of the medical records department at the Kadena Clinic. We provided outpatient medical care to USAF personnel and their dependents. If they needed hospitalization they were sent to the Naval Regional Medical Center Ryukyu Islands.
Apr 1976 - Dec 1978
Medical Specialist
This unit was a detachment of a unit at Scott AFB that was tasked with transporting patients around the country to medical treatment centers that had the specialty they needed. As an example burn patients were brought to San Antonio to be treated at Fort Sam Houston.
