Master Sergeant Potvin is the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of an eight-member selectively manned Joint Staff Operations Team providing 24x7 nuclear command and control communications support within the National Military Command Center, Emergency Actions Cell, National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center, and the Deputy Director of Operations. Sergeant Potvin supervises the monitoring and maintenance of nine national level emergency voice systems, six missile warning systems, a Crisis Management Network Secure Fax system, and 844 communications circuits valued at over $200 million supporting the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Vice CJCS, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commanders, Deputy Director of Operations and the NMCC.
