Married for 39 years to my high school sweetheart. Have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I live in Greensboro North Carolina where I served on the Greensboro Fire Department for 35 years. Retired two years ago as an Assistant Chief over the training division.

Section Leader
Led a 27 man Crash Rescue section. Responsible for the day to day operations of the unit. Trained and prepared for crash rescue operations involving all types of Marine and Navy Aircraft. Was an E-5 when released from active duty. Was promoted to E-6 11 months later while on inactive reserve duty. That was final rank when discharged from full service in March 1981.
