Aviation Maintenance Administrationman (AZ)
Served exactly one year, November 6, 1987 - November 6, 1988. Worked in Maintenance Admin, doing clerical duties for the Maintenance Officer, AMO, and MCPO. Shared space with the Supply LPO. Made mail runs, sent and received message traffic via Base Admin. Prepared letter and message correspondence for MO/AMO. Although this position was detailed as an AZ (E5/E6) billet, it was more of a YN (E4/E5) billet. Was a beautiful duty station.

Plane Captain A-6E
Arrived as a non-designated striker, AA (E2), assigned to Line as a plane captain. TAD to Pawn's Nest (gedunk), next to PAO for 6 months. Received command advancement to AZ3. Then assigned to Maintenance Control. Tested first eligible cycle for AZ2, and frocked. Terminated shore duty in summer of 1988 for orders to AIMD Diego Garcia.
