Bio

Mike Pawletki was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago. While growing up, he spent much of his time getting in trouble on the city streets with gangs and graffiti art. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army NG for six years as a Stinger Missile squad leader/team member in an infantry unit and completed honorable service with the rank of sergeant. My unit was to be deployed to Iraq during the Gulf War to provide air defense in support of the 101st Airborne during the Gulf War, but the war ended before we had a chance to deploy. After fulfilling his military obligations, he became a follower of Jesus Christ through belief in the gospel. Soon after, he felt a call to full-time ministry. To better prepare himself to care for God’s people, Mike applied for and was accepted to Moody Bible Institute. Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Bible/Theology, he attended Moody Theological Seminary, receiving his Masters in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship. Also, he received a certificate in caring for people God’s way through The American Association of Christian Counselors. Mike has many years of pastoral experience in and around the Chicago area, as well as real life experience in the secular workplace; having worked for 15 years at American Airlines as a Fleet Service Clerk. As a life-long Chicagoan, Mike has a passion for all the people in and around the city and understands the Chicagoland culture. I have been doing pastoral ministry in and around Chicago for over 15 years and am currently serving as a chaplain for Corporate Chaplains of America. He is married for 25 years and deeply committed to his high school sweetheart, Jeanette, and has four children; Abigail (22), Jacob (17), Joseph (12), and Aaron (10). You will find Mike and his family to be authentic in their relationships and loving in their care.
