Military Experiences

Mar 1974 - Nov 1974
USS Shenandoah (AD-26)
E-4 in "A" div.
Ship had just returned from Med. Horrible experience! Thieves! Threatened to write me up because I would not carry brass off the ship for the leading first and his cohort, MM2 DEEMS. I did learn about running a loan operation by accident and got protection, also by accident. I had some cool friends I never met! I was very naive and did not charge interest. Turned out I could have charged 40 for 20. The guys paid me back on time and even kicked in a few bucks. Figured it out several years later. I got some decent AC&R training there.

Deployments

(2 years, 9 months)
Dec 1976 - Aug 1979
Holy Loch, Rota, Chas. SC, Kings Bay
Punched a big hole in the ocean. Trained and qualified a lot of new SU's and made them SS. Kids got a MUC for their refit in Kings Bay and subsequent deployment. I do have to apologize to ETCM Bernie Stark and his crew. I blew San 3 and left the vent valve open. Sometime in 1978. Sorry for that.
