Bio 

Lieutenant Colonel David M. Milner is the Commander of the 15th Operations Support Squadron, 15th Wing, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 15th OSS supports units deployed to and transiting through Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam from throughout the world. The squadron is responsible for maintaining and controlling taxi and ground emergency operations on the DoD’s largest shared-use airfield, valued at over 450 million dollars, and maintains flight records for Air Force aviators in eight countries. In addition, the 15th OSS is the wing’s lead agency for intelligence, tactics, training, weather operations support, aircrew flight equipment and aircrew communications security for aircraft assigned to Hickam Field (C-17, KC-135, F-22, C-37, and C-40). Lt Col Milner entered the Air Force after graduating with honors from Clemson University, Clemson, SC in 1996. He went on to earn his navigator wings at NAS Pensacola, FL in 1998 and his pilot wings at Columbus AFB, MS in 2003. He has extensive combat flight time in the B-1B and the C-17A, serving in both OIF and OEF. Additionally, he has deployed as an Air Advisor to the Afghan National Army Air Corps, specializing in airpower command and control. Lt Col Milner’s military experience ranges from Electronic Warfare and Precision Strike operations to Precision Airdrop and Humanitarian Airlift. Additionally, he has Operational-level warfighter expertise, having served in the Pacific Air and Space Operations Center (AOC), on the Thirteenth and Third Air Forces’ Component Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) headquarters staffs and at Headquarters, United States Air Forces in Europe –United States Air Forces Africa. Lt Col Milner hails from Hartwell, GA and is married to the former Christy Smith of Twin Falls, ID. Together they have two children, Alexandra and Christian.
