Developed basketballs (MJ line), pro baseball gloves, baseball & football protective gear while at Wilson. Helped develop Roadtrip grill for Coleman. Helped develop grill line that made Lowe's #1 gas grill retailer. CSA standards advisory board member for gas appliances. Current independent consultant for gas appliance manufacturers & other consumer products.

Ran M-16 qualification training for deploying troops for company & battalion size units. Also qualified non-combatant personnel (dentists, doctors, etc.) with their assigned weapons (usually 1911 pistol). Competed on 5th Army rifle & pistol teams in inter service & regional matches. Responsible for running indoor range & conducting .22 caliber matches at Ft. Riley. Platoon leader for C Co. 168th Combat Engr. Bn. (68-69). Based at Quan Loi, Loc Ninh, Lai Khe & Roch Kien. Covered mostly III Corp. but also spent time in the Delta building roads & fixing bridges. XO & Company Commander 85th Division (IL)70-75. Army reserve training unit. Ran weapons training during summer camps & annual weapons qualifications.

Engineer platoon ldr. Built bridges, designed & built underground brick building for MACV advisors at Loc Ninh. Did EOD for SF 331 A team at Loc Ninh destroying unexploded bombs, NVA tunnels & bunkers, booby traps, etc. Fought as infantry at Loc Ninh. Built roads in Delta for 9th Div. Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Gold Star, Bronze & Silver Star.
