I am very pleased and proud to serve on the team at Interactive Advisory Network (IAN), a veteran owned and operated financial services enterprise. Our firm was founded on a simple, yet uncommon guiding principle - Making Life Better For Everyone. The commitment to this principle is the driving force behind our client and advisor engagement process and our integrated approach to problem solving.
Prior to joining the firm, I had the distinct privilege of serving in the United States Navy and retired honorably after 23 years of faithful service. I was drawn to Financial Services after a loved one became seriously ill. Unfortunately, we do not always anticipate these tragedies or how they will affect us personally and financially. Naturally, fears and old habits tend to dictate how we respond to them. I’d like to help change that.
My duties are now to IAN as the Professional Development Manager, helping them to (1) Recruit new and current advisors who are willing to learn, train and follow a well-defined process driven by principles. (2) Help you establish a business model that is new and sustainable – Differentiates you from other providers and is easy to learn and implement. (3) Assist you in establishing a “Self Run” business that puts you in control of your future and help you to grow your business to whatever size you choose that reduces stress, increases fun, and free time.
Larry D. Stephen, a dedicated Recruiter and Risk Advisor is the Professional Development Manager for Interactive Advisory Network, LLC. Prior to working at Interactive Advisory Network he served in the United States Navy from 1988 to 2012. Larry was assigned to multiple duty stations throughout the United States, Europe, and Middle East. Larry is a decorated veteran who faithfully served in numerous deployments and multiple campaigns over the course of 23 years. Larry retired from the Navy in January 2012 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer and currently resides in Chesapeake, VA.
After serving in the United States Navy, Larry found his post military calling in the recruitment of Financial Advisors and Agents in the Risk Management and Financial Services Industry where he holds the Virginia Life, Health and Annuities licenses as well as the Virginia Property and Casualty license. Just as on active duty, his passion continues to focus on helping individuals achieve their personal and professional goals.
Larry has been married to his beautiful wife, Cindy, for 27 years and together have 3 wonderful children. In his spare time Larry is a member of the “Parent Working Group” for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA where he educates, counsels, and provides comfort to the families of children who have been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and/or Ulcerative Colitis. Additionally, he is involved with the “Improve Care Now Network” where he works together with care providers, researchers, patients and families using scientific data to drive improvements for children with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis in hopes of one day finding a cure.
Larry’s favorite pastime is traveling, trying new foods as well as fly fishing and enjoying the great outdoors.
“I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy.”
